![]() The pacifist ending just made me feel bad, sure I "saved" everyone from being in the underground, but was it worth sacrificing someone to a soulless existence? It's one of those choices that you hear about in philosophy about killing one to save three others, sure the numbers feel good on paper, but the implication behind them still exists, and even if you do choose to save those three others, you're still a murderer for choosing that one person to die. Mainly the fact that Asgore who has killed 6 innocent humans, gets to live out the rest of his days (could be forever), while his pacifist son is doomed to be soulless for an indeterminate amount of time (also could be forever). For me, it kind of solves everything that I found wrong with the pacifist ending. I really like doing a Pacifist Neutral run (with choosing FIGHT at the end). Additional linksĪs much as Pacifist gives me the feels and everything is great at the end (for most people).
